Tim and Serena Howell, Founders
In 2000, Tim and Serena Howell founded Teen Reach Adventure Camps.

As a youth pastor, Tim Howell saw firsthand the struggles that Christian and non-Christian youth face as they move from elementary school into high school. It is a rough transition, but even tougher are these years for adolescents who are in foster care and have experienced abuse, abandonment and neglect. This is why being involved with these teens became such a personal calling for Tim and Serena as they began working within an organization called Royal Family Kids’ Camp. Both of them saw the difference just days could make in the life of a hurting child as they worked at their local camp in Tualatin, Oregon. Royal Family Kids' Camps, are designed to serve children (Ages 7 to 11) from the state foster system that due to behavioral problems and medications are not able to go to most other summer camps.
T.R.A.C. is a concept that closely resembles Royal Family Kids' Camps. It is endorsed by Royal Family Kids' Camps, Inc., out of Santa, Ana, CA. It offers R.F.K.C. graduates and other foster kids a camp they can go to between the ages of 12 to 15.
