T.R.A.C. CORE PRINCIPLES

1.

A Bible for Every Camper:

Jesus' truth offers hope and a renewed identity for those who are hurting.

2.

Single Gender Camps:

T.R.A.C. Camps are designed as single gender camps with the campers, staff and counselors in mind,  This core philosophy alleviates much of the sexual tension any normal teen would feel.

3.

The Meaning of Camper Names:

When each camper arrives, there is a poster or sheet of paper hanging near their bunk or cot that states their name, spiritual meaning and script.  This is an empowering experience for each camper as they learn that God knows their name.

4.

Minimizing Camp Liability :

Each T.R.A.C. director trainee and all staff and counselors are given a thorough background check and where applicable, fingerprinting is done.  It is important to insure the continuance of this ministry.

5.

Teachable Moments:

One of the most signficant ways we can show the campers Christ's love is to look for opportunities to share his principles as we walk from event to event each day at camp.  When we look for these teachable moments, there are ways we can creatively weave God's truth into a camper's day.

6.

Providing a Positive, Affirming, Non-Judgemental Camp Environment:

Many of the campers at T.R.A.C. have had few positive, and encouraging experiences.  At T.R.A.C. we encourage every staff member and counselor to continually lift up the campers.  There are "I Spys" that campers are awarded when staff see them commit a "random act of kindness" and an achievement bead program as well.

7.

Giving the R.F.K.C. Graduates Priority:

It is a goal of T.R.A.C. to support the ministry that Royal Family Kids' Camps have already started with campers.  This encourages a consistent model for social services, the campers and the foster parents.
